Our client is a leading global manufacturer of drug administration systems for the pharmaceutical industry. It designs, produces, and sells a broad range of complex medical devices. More than 750 m devices are distributed in over 47 countries. The company´s global growth strategy in combination with local market presence allows a dynamic and customer-specific partnership – from Contract Manufacturing, Co-development of customer products - partially or fully developed at clients’ facilities - to high innovative proprietary products.

Our client wants to expand its regional market share in selected emerging markets in South Eastern Europe while developing/strengthening its strong presence in key target markets like Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Therefore, he is looking for a passionate, entrepreneurial Business Development Manager who wants to leave a significant sales & growth footprint in the challenging target markets.

The main focus areas for this Business Development role are:

  • Identify and develop new business within and outside the current customer base
  • Develop a go to market strategy for emerging South East European Markets to fully exploit potential
  • Pro-actively define Sales Strategy for increasing regional market share and positioning a highly re-known international brand in the assigned territory
  • Systematically generate and execute on regional sales strategy and grow the market target
  • Leverage   new   solutions, products, services,campaigns   in   the   territory   in cooperation with R&D, manufacturing, purchasing and marketing team
  • Build-up and ensure “total customer satisfaction” – specifically for key accounts and “new-generated” clients, deliver on promises made
  • Implement, lead & develop the independent agents and/or distributor network in South East Europe
  • Responsible for annual budgeting and forecasts
  • Ensure highly efficient communication and teamwork with Marketing, R&D, Production and all leadership stakeholders

The ideal candidate (m/f) earned a Bachelor’s degree in business administration or Marketing, MBA preferred. Moreover, he is expected to have

  • a minimum of 10 years of business experience, preferably in sales / account management and an existing network in the Healthcare sector
  • a minimum of 5-7 years in a successful and international Field Sales and/or Key Account Management role within the specific target industries and at least 2-3 years of leadership experience
  • strong interpersonal and strategic relationship management skills, a pro-active winning personality & early leadership passion, business acumen and solid decision-making abilities as well as negotiation/presentation/communication skills

The candidate lives already in Baden-Wuerttemberg or is willing to relocate close to the German company location.
