Key Account Manager (m/f) – Germany - Advanced Circuit Materials

 Our client has a long-lasting (180 years) and outstanding reputation as global innovator in specialty materials/components, laminates and circuit materials. The company is listed on the US stock-exchange and provides high quality solutions for power electronics, advanced foams for cushioning / protective sealing and high-frequency printed circuit materials to leading-edge and diverse technology markets.

The “advanced circuit materials (ACM)” business is producing high-frequency laminates and circuit materials for applications in the wireless base station, aerospace and defence, automotive, high-speed digital and advanced chip packaging industries. These specialty materials bring highest quality and application value for industrial applications and comply with toughest technical quality certificates.

Our client wants to further upgrade their European organization and grow their profitable market share across Germany – and replace the former distributor in Germany. Hence – our client is looking for an additional Senior Sales Engineer for emphasizing and developing the German market in key target RF/Microwave-industries.

The candidate (m/f) is the pro-active driver of all Sales and key account activities for engineering OEM´s in Germany.

The main focus areas for this Sales role are:

  • Pro-actively define Sales Strategy for significant RF/microwave solutions growth within competitive and emerging application technology market
  • Drive profitable volume growth and market coverage by value selling
  • Systematically generate Revenues and execute commercial plans
  • Drive and support additional sales activities through the OEM’s subcontract manufacturers (printed circuit board fabricators)
  • Ensure “total customer satisfaction” and loyalty
  • Technical Leadership and development of a regional commercial network – including Sales, Marketing, R&D, Product Application and Technical Service
  • Ensure highly efficient communication and teamwork with regional Sales Managers, Technical Service, global R&D, Product Development, Marketing, Group functions and all external interfaces.

This role will be situated in Germany - and will be driven out of a home-office base. In line with the territorial nature of this role – constant travel time of more than 50 % is required, sometimes with overnight stays.

The ideal candidate (m/f) earned a higher engineering/physics education - or a certified technical foundation as technician/engineer/master in RF or electronics/telecommunication fields. For this challenging sales role, our client expects a minimum of 7-10 years of business experience in the RF/microwave or electronics/telecommunications industry.

The ideal track record should contain a minimum of 5 years in a successful, stand-alone and demanding Field Sales role – ideally in B2B/OEM and solutions sales to key or hi-tech engineering industry.

Key for this senior “Key Account Manager” function is to have proven strategic Sales and Business Development skills to achieve significant Growth and Sales targets in the assigned industry and region over the next 3-5 years – stand alone and in co-operation with global Corporate Teams. For achieving market share growth – the candidate requires strong interpersonal and strategic relationship management skills – with the ability to build trust in matrix organizations on senior & operational levels and influence organisational decision making on different levels, if needed from scratch.

The candidate is used to operate on all business levels with personal authority, technical/commercial expertise and effective interpersonal skills. Written and oral communication in German and English is mandatory.
